Ride, Camp, Explore – All in One Place
Note: The East Bluff bike park trails are open for all - if you prefer to reach the top the old fashioned way you are welcome to do so - no pass required!
Each of our rustic campsites exude the East Bluff ambiance - private sites amongst the trees give you some seclusion when you want it, but the small campground footprint and surrounding trail network allow for an element of community.
Whether traveling with your friends or looking to meet new ones, you’ll find them just steps away. Our campsites range in size and can accommodate shelters ranging in size from the smallest tent to a moderately sized RV.
Check the site specifications before checking out to make sure the site you reserve will suit your needs! A modern privy and hand-pump well provide the basics for this primitive campground.
When you arrive in Copper Harbor, head East on US-41. When the pavement ends you have reached the Mandan Rd. Proceed 1.4 miles and you’ll see the East Bluff Campground entrance on the right hand side. As you enter, the campground is to the left, overflow and shuttle parking is to the right. Straight ahead is the East Bluff Road (giant cedar gate posts bordering the shoulders). This road is closed to public traffic, but the shuttle pick up area is about 100 yards straight down the road (South).
The short answer is yes. To be guaranteed a spot, please use our reservation system to book your camper cabin or campsite in advance. If you stumble upon the campground without a reservation, please use the reservation tool at that time to check availability, and if a site is open you are welcome to book it real-time!
Our camper cabins are primitive and minimalistic. They do not have plumbing or electricity except for some simple solar lighting and a 12V charger for your convenience. Inside you will find a table and benches for meals/seating, a work space for cooking, and mattresses (2 queens and 2 doubles) for sleeping. You must bring your own cookware and linens/bedding. Outside you will find some adirondack chairs on the porch and a picnic table and fire ring on site.
Campsites are rustic. They include a picnic table and fire ring. There are no water, sewer or electric hook-ups.
The camper cabins and campsites are self-check in. Cabins will be open for you by the check-in time of 3pm.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am. If you arrive early and your reserved site has been vacated/cleaned you may check in early. We do not guarantee site availability or a clean cabin before 3pm.
Eligibility for a refund is dependent upon the date the cancellation request is submitted and applies to both camper cabins and campsites.
Refunds will be issued as follows:
Requests submitted 30+ days in advance of check-in date: Full refund
Requests submitted 15+ days in advance of check-in date: 50% refund
Requests submitted 7+ days in advance of check-in date: 25% refund
Requests submitted less than 7 days in advance of check-in date: Not eligible for a refund

As you enter the bike park and campground off of the Mandan Rd, the campground is to the left and overflow and shuttle parking is to the right. Straight ahead is the East Bluff Road (with giant cedar gate posts bordering the shoulders). This road is closed to public traffic, but the shuttle pick up area is about 100 yards straight down the road (to the South).
Shuttle passes are non-refundable. If a shuttle day is cancelled completely due to weather or a mechanical issue, pass holders will be refunded 100%. If a shuttle day is interrupted due to weather or a mechanical issue, pass holders will be refunded a pro-rated amount, based on the number of runs the shuttle completes that day. For example, if the shuttle completes 4 out of 9 runs for the day and adverse weather requires the shuttle to stop for the remainder of the day, pass holders would be issued a refund of $33.33
Your well-behaved furry friends are welcome within the campground and cabins. Pets should be kept leashed and in your control at all times. Waste should be picked up and properly disposed of immediately. Guests are responsible for any damages, repairs or cleaning required in cabins due to pets. If your pet tends to be noisy, anxious or aggressive in any way, please consider finding a safe alternative for them during your visit.
